Wedding Day Memories

Recently hubby and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary.

Now they say there is the 7 year itch…that’s not happening to us this time. We are looking into the future and plan a big move with our big family and know it’s going to be a good one for us.

Now our wedding day was a very special day for the both of us. It was filled with happiness and joy with our special family. Our wedding was very small but still oh so special.

Venue : Hotel Izulu South Africa

Date : 10th May 2008 at 3pm

Our reception area in the Lapa at Hotel IZulu.

Theme: Simple Elegance

My favourite instrument is the Saxaphone so it needed to be there at the wedding. Such a beautiful sound.

Our menu was very much South African.

Our food was a buffet style with North African Leg of Lamb, Durban curry and fillet of beef.

Our wedding cake was simply amazing. Gorgeous chocolate moose cake!

Hubby’s bits ready for the big day👞Burberry Touch was my fav aftershave on him. Thank you to Paul Smith for his wedding suit and accessories.

My shoes from Debenhams Red Herring and the Valentino perfume was my fragrance of choice.

My jewellery and tiara and garter were from Debenhams too 💟

I had received this stunning ring from my granny when she passed and chose to have it as my something OLD.  My handsome little boy and I on my wedding day. HappyDays – Gratitude List

I haven’t taken part in a #HappyDays linky for a while and it’s about time we write another one, as im sure I have been grateful for a lot of things this last week.

Our week has been full of joy, happiness, excitement and fun. Here are the things I am very Grateful for!!

  • Back to school
After a fun two week easter break with the kids, I was very grateful in knowing that I was gonna get my two mornings back to have ‘ME’ time.
  • Family & Friends

I am always very grateful for my family and friends and I love them all very much. I have made some great friends lately and felt a lot closer to them and would do anything for them. Making new friends comes pretty easy to me but sometimes it’s hard to know who are genuine or not. I am lucky to say I feel very happy with those who have chosen me to be their friend too. My husband-I am so very grateful for his hard work. He is studying at the moment and leaves for a week to MK next week, I’m gonna miss him very much!

  • School Placements

Thursday last week was the day we waited patiently to find out what school our youngest was attending…obviously with my oldest at a great school already we weren’t very nervous about her going anywhere but their. We also didn’t really know whether to be excited or not as we are hoping to still move before Sep this year to Whitstable (all depending on whether I find work) so their are mixed emotions. Still, very happy to know we have options. Eekkkk my baby girl is getting far to BIG!

  • After School Activity – Athletics

Oscar started attending an athletics club after school at the David Weir Centre!! He has only ettended two sessions but wow is he enjoying it. Now like any boy, Oscar just wants everything to be a race. Race to getting dressed, a race eating food and of course running races. He has already tried high jump, long jump, sprints and other activities. He is very much obsessed and full of drive to beat them.

  • Building up my Blog

So recently I have started up my blog via Facebook and it has been going really well. I am so pleased to see the likes on my page rising and I hope I can keep up with making sure everyone is liking what they see on my blog.

So we have had a great week and feel another one is gonna get even better.

What Katy Said

12 years of LOVE!

So their is this handsome man I call my husband.

We are celebrating 12 years together today and it’s been an exciting yet very hard time for us both.

We were very good friends before we started going out. 2003 he asked me to be his girlfriend and of course I said yesssss lol!

He proposed in amazing style in South Africa at a beautiful castle back in 2006 …moved in together shortly after we returned back from SA and in 2007 found out we where preggers with Oscar 😊

Becoming parents was the most exciting and fun time we had and I sure miss my little man being a tiny cute little baby, now a cheeky 7 year old.

We then had a very hard time saying goodbye to Marks mum back in 2009….she is missed everyday💐!!

Then baby number 2 came along in 2010….our darling Caityln!

We had a couple very hard and difficult times after madam was born but I’m so grateful and so happy we are a very strong and happy family now after so much heartache!

I love you Mark Jackson and I hope I can now continue to make u happy and support you throughout the years like you always have for me.

Happy 12 years of love affection and continued support❤️
